In this wiki we define Worst Practice in ITSM. The official Introduction to Real ITSM defines quite a bit of Worst Practice but not in a systematic way.
Readers are invited to use this wiki to rigorously (or at least humourously) capture the Worst of IT Service Management Practice (the idea came from John Willis)
As well as a bit of fun, this body of knowledge (BOK) can serve as "the null hypotheses for best practice" (thanks Mike).
So edit away. Format is like a basic form of mediawiki syntax (e.g. wikipedia)
Shall we use the FITS high-level domains to organise practices?
- Proactive (Problem, Availability, Capacity...)
- Change (Change, Release, Config...)
- Reactive (Service Desk, Incident, Request, ...)
- Strategic (Portfolio, Catalogue, SLM, Continutiy, Financial...)
